The Central Activities Office has a limited supply of Lightweight Nike Hoodies available for sale. The hoodies are available in Red and White Colors with “Rapid City Central” printed on the front and will be on display and for sale in the Activities Office and will sold through the school year, with sales ending on Friday May 25. The cost of the sweatshirt is $35.00/each and ALL proceeds will go to the Central High School Athletic Expansion Fundraiser!

Attention Students: It is Registration time! The Student Scheduling Times for scheduling next year’s classes will be posted in the glass cases outside of the old Guidance area. Please find your day and time to register. The online registration window will open at 5pm on Friday, May 4th and remain open until 8am on Monday, May 14th. Registration materials will be handed out next Tuesday and Wednesday in your English classes. Make sure you register for your classes on your assigned day and time. Failure to do so will result in your schedule being done for you. Also, remember that what you register for is what you WILL TAKE next year! Please see your Counselor if you have any questions. Attention Juniors: We are looking for next year’s Board of Education Student Representative to represent Central High School. If you are going to be a Senior next year and you are interested. Please pick up an application in the Main Office. The applications are due by May 4th. 5/4
TICKETS for Central High School Performing Arts Department’s musical production of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET ARE ON SALE NOW! All seats are reserved and are $10 each. Performances for this amazing musical thriller are May 10, 11, 12, @ 7:30 PM and May 12 & 13 @ 2 PM. This exciting production will be the last musical on the thrust stage and promises to be a truly phenomenal experience. Attention Students: Any student who took Algebra 1 as an 8th grader but chose not to take the test will be allowed to take the Algebra 1 course equivalency exam (test-out) for Pass/Fail credit on his/her transcript through May 2012 . May 2012 is the last chance to take the Algebra 1 test if you did not take the test during middle school. There will be five (5) different test-out sessions at your school: May 14 (after school), May 19 (morning and afternoon), and May 31 (morning and afternoon). Please read the Test-out Program information and complete the online registration at the district’s homepage under the “Parents & Students” tab. (May 4th)
Attention Seniors! Students who have successfully completed at least half a credit of Learn &Serve, throughout your high school years, can be eligible for a $500 Beyond the Books (Learn and Serve) scholarship. Pick up an application form in the Guidance office or the Internship coordinators. Don’t delay because applications are due May 9th! 5/4
Hills Community Theatre cordially invites all current CHS Drama students to attend the preview of the Musical Comedy: The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What? THIS Thursday, May 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Students who attended the 2011 State One Act Play Festival saw a 40 minute cutting from this production. There are only twenty-five seats available. RCC German club is selling Kuchen for Spring festivities such as Mother ‘s Day & Graduation. The Kuchen is $9.50 per Kuchen ( it is from a different bakery & larger) or 2 @ $17.00 . Proceeds of Kuchen sales are for end of year activities for students of German @ RCC. The Kuchen come in 15 different flavors and can be frozen for 2 mos. The sale ends May 7th and orders arrive on May 11th. To order yours contact a student of German or stop in B213. Danke! 5/4
The following art students had work selected by the Dahl for a Juried High School Art Show at the Dahl from May 10th to June 5th. Riley Walz, Dalton Penwell, Elise Ashby, Carissa Bellew, Chantelle Bollinger, Kristin Brave, Breanna Grooms, Dominic Heidt, Mariah Shelley and Tierra Boutte. Congratulations! 5/4
Cobbler Girls Tennis meeting will be Monday May 7th at 6pm at the Parkview Tennis Courts. Attendance is extremely important since the season starts before school starts!! 5/7
