Boys Basketball Set for Season

By Jake Preble

The Central boys have just kicked off the 2014-2015 basketball season. Tryouts wrapped up last Tuesday and the players found out their fate that evening. Eight seniors made the squad. The team’s first practice began Monday and the guys are very anxious to get on the court. Coach Spease is once again leading the boys to the court, this being his second year in the head coaching position. Senior point guard Tucker Berg says, “We have been working hard all summer for these few months that are coming up. Most of us have been together since we were in middle school and our chemistry as a team is unbeatable. We expect to do great things as seniors and hope that the whole school will be there to support us!” The teams travels to Gillette for their first game of the year on December 12th. The Cobblers first home game will be on the 30th against the always tough Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles. The team could really use our support this year so everyone show up and cheer on our Cobblers.
