No one wants to be called a Grinch at Christmas time, but sometimes we have to look in the mirror and realize the truth.
Here are five ways you are like the Grinch.
You might not like people that much.
The Grinch is famous for his hatred of the Whos in Whoville, just as you might dislike mostly everyone you meet, and for really no reason at all other than you Just. Don’t. Like. Them.
You like to stay at home.
“6:30, dinner with me. I can’t cancel that again,” although this line is famous for being dramatic, we all know it’s kinda (really) true. Sometimes the only person you can stand spending time with is yourself.
You get jealous when you don’t get an invite.
You know the feeling, you’re scrolling through your feed on social media and you spy your friends hanging out, having a great time, and you didn’t even get an invite. This is how the Grinch feels when the Whos don’t even bother to invite a fella to the Christmas festivities.
You make yourself laugh, and frequently.
The Grinch definitely doesn’t need anyone to entertain him, he is often caught laughing at his own jokes and inner dialogue. Just as you know you’re funny as heck. Hey, someone’s gotta laugh at your jokes—might as well be you.
Last but not least, you don’t really like Christmas.
No matter how hard you try, you just can’t bring yourself to listen to Christmas music, you don’t like candy canes, and you know Santa is actually a weirdo who spies on little children and commits breaking and entering every year.
