Terry Peak Opens a Bit Late

Despite the warm, dry weather, Terry Peak has opened (though a little late).

This weekend, December 16, after weeks of making snow, Terry Peak officially opened. Usually Terry peak opens the first week of December, but due to weather conditions, they had to push the opening weekend back. These past few weeks have been hard for skiers and snowboarders considering the weather conditions, and many have been dying to break out their gear and hit the slopes.

Yet despite there being limited hills open, people were still excited to get out there with their friends and family. Jordan Ladson says, “It was good they finally opened, seemed like it’s been forever. Even though not much was open the snow was great making it a great day.” Due to the lack of ski lifts open, Terry Peak is currently selling discounted lift tickets.
