Thursday night’s football game against Stevens leaves the Cobblers with good news and bad news. We’ll start with the bad news.
The bad news
- Stevens beat Central 35-7 in the annual regular season football match-up, snapping the Cobblers’ five year winning streak.
- The Stevens cheerleaders won the cheerleader relay (“They were all track runners!” pointed out one Cobbler cheerleader.)
- The Stevens marching band won the tuba relay.
The good news
- Our cheerleaders and marching band are great at what they really do–cheer on the team and play great music. Who didn’t have fun dancing to the drum line?
- The football team gets another try. Somehow Stevens and Central got matched up for the first round of the 11AA playoffs, so on Tuesday the teams will kick off at 7:00 p.m. It’s a road game for Central, but who wouldn’t pick a road game like this one? Admission for playoffs is $5 for adults and $3 for students. C-U-There
