This past week the 51st annual Cobbler Capers went underway. The show featured many acts including the Central Step and Hip Hop team, the Advanced Theatre Performance (ATP) students, and an array of talented singers and musicians. Mrs. Birkeland, who helped organize the event this year, was pleased with the variety of people involved: “The show featured a diverse group of cast members who we normally don’t see at school concerts or activities.”

The night began with the ATP students, leaving no staff member safe, performing Geico commercials that made fun of our school. These small commercials filled both acts with nine total skits. After the first ATP the Central Stomp Ground let the audience know that they “rep the Cobblers” and they represent us quite well. After the stomp group was finished the night continued with many eclectic choices of songs, including but not limited to an excerpt from Wicked,  a tribute to our troops, and a classic Stevie Wonder tune. “The task of helping to produce the show was very enjoyable and well worth the time,” commented Mrs. Birkeland. Overall the night was a success and filled with many great acts that students, teachers, and community members alike enjoyed.
