Students get free admittance to the girls’ playoff basketball game against Watertown.
Traditionally, for state basketball games every student has to pay to get into the games, however, this year Central High School students get into tonight’s sweet 16 game for free just by showing their school ID. The Central girls basketball team (15-5) will take on the Watertown girls basketball team (9-11) at 6pm. In their previous match up, on January 22nd in Watertown, the Cobblers beat the Arrows 43-24.
Additionally, if Central girls win tonight, any students that attend tonight’s game will get the chance to scan a barcode. The barcode will excuse them from 4th block on Thursday March 10th, where the winner of tonight’s game takes on the winner of the Stevens (16-4) versus Brookings (7-12) contest. The last time Stevens girls and Brookings girls played against each other, Stevens won 64-35.
