Cobbler Freshmen Can’t Overcome Patriots

by: Isaiah Shelvin On Thursday night the Central freshmen football team looked for its first win against the Douglas Patriots at O’Harra Stadium. Things looked good for Central, who outsized and outnumbered the small Douglas squad. On the first offensive series, Central’s John Wolfe ran the ball hard, setting up quarterback Dillon Wolf to book left on third down and run 17 yards for a … Continue reading Cobbler Freshmen Can’t Overcome Patriots

The Movie Buff Looks Back on Ghost Dog

by: Alan Smithee Why does everyone love ninjas so much? They are ruthless. They kill whatever they want for their own gain. But why does everyone seem to look at them as the good guys? “They were rebels against the system” yeah, yeah, cool, cool. But most of them were dirty rapists, thieves, and they terrorized people. Samurais, on the other hand, go by a … Continue reading The Movie Buff Looks Back on Ghost Dog

The Movie Buff Looks Back on: Nails

They barely have any … Continue reading The Movie Buff Looks Back on: Nails

This is because heat rises; if a fire is going uphill the flame from the top of one tree would burn the bottom of the tree above it, causing that tree to burn and continue to the next tree. They also move faster uphill because fires need oxygen, fuel, and heat to burn. If you … Continue reading Did you know? Forest fires move faster uphill

Did you know? Giraffes make sounds

by: Michael Iles Although they are usually a mute animal and very rarely ever heard, giraffes do in fact make noises. Giraffes communicate with one another by infrasonic sound. They do, at time, vocalize to one another by grunts or whistle-like cries. They also communicate by moaning, snoring, hissing, and flutelike sounds. When alarmed, a giraffe grunts or snorts to warn neighboring giraffes of the … Continue reading Did you know? Giraffes make sounds

Central Dismantles Sturgis in District Playoff

by: Zach Renville & Donavin Neugebauer Wednesday’s game for Central just came too easy as Central came out firing on all cylinders. The game, after being cancelled the night before, started pretty early, basically right after all students got out of … Continue reading Central Dismantles Sturgis in District Playoff
